Pack 75 is immensely proud of our 5 newly-minted Arrow of Light recipients.
The Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouts, earned by Webelos Scouts as a transition to a Scout troop. To achieve it, Cub Scouts must demonstrate leadership, outdoor skills, and personal growth through specific requirements. They develop abilities such as understanding community roles, practicing first aid, and mastering outdoor cooking, alongside learning knot-tying, knife safety, and troop campout planning. They also attend a Scout troop meeting and meet with a Scoutmaster, gaining insight into the next Scouting level. This journey builds independence, teamwork, and practical expertise, preparing them for the youth-led challenges of a Scout troop.
The Arrow of Light insignia—a gold arrow with a rising sun—may be worn on the Scout uniform below the left pocket, marking their early accomplishments.
Adults who earned the Arrow of Light as youth can wear a square knot insignia-red and green with a yellow center-on their uniform, reflecting their enduring tie to this achievement.
We send our congratulations and wish them all the best in their upcoming adventures at the Troop level. They will be missed!
